UPDATE: THIS REQUEST HAS BEEN DENIED BY THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT The Board of Zoning Adjustment will be holding a hearing on May 18, 2020 at 9:00 am to consider approving a special exception request for a fence built at 3 E. 69th Terrace. Traditionally hearings are held in the Council Chamber on the 26th floor of City Hall, 414 East 12th Street. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic this may not be possible and staff is pursuing alternatives that would allow participation remotely, including teleconference or submitting comments via email. Details regarding how to view the hearing and provide testimony will be confirmed here no later than 48 hours prior to the hearing. The current city ordinance prohibits 6’ fences on corner lots. As part of this meeting's agenda, the board will discuss a zoning variance for a proposed two-story addition to the home at 202 E. 68th Terrace. The lot calls for structures to be set back from the street 25 feet.
