Have you noticed that we don’t send out many lost and found pet emails? Don’t worry – we haven’t stopped caring about all the neighborhood pets that occasionally misplace their families. We just handle the information differently. Facebook has become the most effective way for people to tell us about lost and found pets. We can also more quickly reach the largest number of people through Facebook to help get them home safe.
We will still send emails when a neighborhood pet doesn’t find it’s family quickly, but very often Fido and Fluffy are home before we even have time to get the email out. And that’s good news for our pets.
If your pet is lost or you have found a pet, please send an email with the following information to lostpets@armourhills.org:
- Type of pet
- Description of pet / name
- Lost or found
- Location – where it was last seen and / or where it is now
- Contact information, preferably a cell phone number
- Photo, if possible
