Q: I am planning a project on my home or property. What do I need to do first?
A: Projects are bound by the city’s zoning regulations and the covenants of Armour Hills. Some types of projects require building permits.


Q: What do I need to know about curbside trash and recycling collection?
A: Each week trash and recycling are collected curbside on Thursdays. On weeks where there is a holiday, collection is often delayed by one day. Bulky item pickup must be scheduled via 311. For more information on curbside collection, drop-off sites and holiday collection schedules, click HERE.


Q: How can I recycle my glass?
A: Glass collection and recycling is handled a little differently. WM partners with Ripple Glass offering numerous locations around town for glass to be dropped off.  Or, if you prefer, there are several pay services available for curbside pick up including Atlas Glass and Crush Glass.


Q: Where can we drop off our yard waste?

Q: Is there curbside leaf and brush pickup available?

Q: Where do I pay my annual dues?
A: You can submit payment to FirstService Residential.


Q: How are dues calculated?
A: All homes are assessed $130 and an additional variable amount. The variable amount is different for each homeowner and is based on the square footage of the homeowner’s lot frontage.


Q: When do the neighborhood board meetings take place?
A: The AHHA board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November (Annual Meeting) at HJ’s Community Center, 6425 Wornall Road.


Q: I would like to host a block party. What do I need to do?
A: Block party permits can be applied for through CompassKC. There is no fee for the application, but it is recommended that it be completed and returned at least one month prior to your event date.
