Through our annual events, AHHA proudly fosters a family atmosphere and special sense of community unique to this area of Kansas City.  We hope to see you at one of these events soon!

Please note: Armour Hills events are for humans only. Because they involve food and people with varying degrees of comfort around animals, we ask that you leave your furry friends at home for neighborhood events to maximize everyone’s enjoyment. Thank you!

Freedom Parade

Celebrate Independence Day with your Armour Hills family! Each year, the Freedom Parade marches neighbors down the “Freedom” (Trolley) Trail from Gregory to 65th Street. Strollers, wagons, bicycles and more are decked out in red, white and blue.

Ice Cream Social

The Armour Hills Ice Cream Social is one of the most popular neighborhood events of the year. Each September, neighbors gather at Arbor Villa Park to catch up and enjoy ice cream, live entertainment and a variety of activities for families.

Movie Night in the Park

The AHHA annual movie night will be at the Grand Avenue pocket park; the movie begins at dusk (about 7 p.m.). This year’s movie is Disney/Pixar’s Cars.

We’ll provide the popcorn and movie on the big screen; you bring the chairs, blankets, and anything else you need to make yourself comfy during the movie.
