New Resources for Understanding AHHA Restrictions

The Board of Directors of Armour Hills Homes Association (AHHA) has completed work on a resource for Armour Hills homeowners to reference and understand the restrictions applicable to their property under the applicable Declaration of Restrictions and plat document (i.e., the HOA covenants.) The resource is available here. In addition to copies of applicable documents, a summary and graphical representation of the restrictions (as seen above) are also provided. Prior to undertaking any project, residents are encouraged to consult this resource to determine whether there are any applicable restrictions, which are in addition to any restrictions pursuant to Kansas City’s zoning regulations. As part of this initiative, the Board will begin enforcing the single-family use restriction with respect to residential lots in Armour Hills. 2021 Board Candidates

2021 Board Candidates Three board position terms expired in November 2020 and are up for re-election. At the Annual Meeting on November 17 attendees will vote on directorships for these terms. Gino Serra Gino, the current President and Preservation Committee Chair, has served as a director on the Armour Hills board since 2012 and as Vice President in 2014. Gino, his wife Paetra, and their two daughters have resided in Armour Hills since 1994. Professionally, he is an attorney at Bryan Cave LLP, where he practices corporate law, focusing on nonprofit organizations. He has been included in The Best Lawyers in America(R), Non-profit/Charities Law since 2012 and is also the Vice Consul of Italy for Western Missouri and Kansas. Online October Board Meeting

An online AHHA board meeting has been scheduled for 7 pm on Monday, Oct. 19. Residents can access the meeting at meet.google.com/pup-ckgz-vzk As part of the meeting’s agenda, the board will be making plans for the Annual Meeting, scheduled for November. The Annual Meeting provides a detailed review of the past year’s activities. Additionally, the budget for the following year is approved and elections are held for the Board of Directors. The board will also hear a presentation from Ben McCabe, Public Works Project Manager, about the Gregory Boulevard Improvement Project. An online AHHA board meeting has been scheduled for 7 pm on Thursday, April 9. The meeting can be accessed at meet.google.com/fug-viwt-sfs or by phone at ‪1-620-878-0299‬ (pin: ‪399 262 147#‬). As part of this meeting's agenda, the board will discuss a zoning variance for a proposed two-story addition to the home at 202 E. 68th Terrace. The lot calls for structures to be set back from the street 25 feet.
